Bob Marley Statue

A 7-foot (2.1 m) tall statue of Bob Marley  by Andy Edwards was installed on Jamaica Street in Liverpool, England, in September 2021. The artwork was commissioned by the Positive Vibration Festival of Reggae in honour of Bob Marley’s legacy and his impact on millions of people around the world as a symbol of peace and love.

The statue was unveiled on Jamaica Street, on September 9 2021, in a ceremony presided over by Liverpool's Urban Griot, Levi Tafari as part of the annual celebrations of the Positive Vibration Festival of Reggae.

Immortality isn't about living forever, but about leaving a legacy that will live forever and Bob Marley through his music and work has truly immortalised him and the statue is an example of that.
Importantly Bob is a cultural icon, he is known and adored by everybody, around the world, young and old. He is a symbol of peace, a symbol of love and unity, which I think is really important, particularly now, because the world seems to be very nasty at the moment.

Bob made reggae music popular and went on to tour the world with his message of peace, love, unity and emancipation of all peoples who were struggling around the world, a message that lives on in his music.
It doesn't matter how many years have passed since the world lost this musical legend, his Legacy will never fade away.Bob Marley's impact on reggae and Afrobeats music culture will forever be immeasurable.
