House Dedication - Why Do We Dedicate a House

1.    Because Only God Can Build A House
Ps. 127:1 - Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it

2.    Because A House Is A Good Thing
James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,

3.    Because A House Is A Blessing From God
Prov. 10:22 - The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

4.    Because A House Is A Fulfillment of God Promises
Isaiah 65:21-22
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

5.    Because You Need Divine Wisdom To Fill The House With Good Things.
Proverbs 24:3-4
3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

6.    Because You Want The House To Be A House of Joy And Celebration

Ps. 16:11 - …in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

7.    To Engrave The Name Of The Lord On The House.

2 Chronicles 7:15-16
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
