TOPIC – Understanding The Power Of Praise

Praise is a mystery.
 

The kingdom of God operates by mysteries.
 

Mark 4:11- And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Mysteries are the keys Jesus gave to His disciples
 

Matthew 16:19 - And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Some Of The Mysteries:

1. Salvation –  John 1:12 – But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
   
2. Baptism – Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
   
3. Prayer – Luke 11:2 – 4 – The lord’s prayer
   
4. Tithing – Malachi 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
   

Praise is senior to prayer.
A praising man gets better results than a praying man.

Praise should not be dictated by your circumstances
Jesus sung Hymns and praise after the last Super – Mark 14: 22 – 26

WHAT IS PRAISE:

1.Praise is appreciating God for who He is.

2.Praising is appreciating God for things He has done and things He is yet to do

Praise is what you do when you don’t now what else to do!

Praise is PLEASANT (gracious) and COMELY (fitting and be).  It BEAUTIFIES your life.
 

Psalms 147:1 - Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

WHAT WE GET FROM PRAISE:

1. Praise Provokes The Presence Of God
   Psalms 22:3 - But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel
   Psalms 22:3 - But you are holy, O you who are seated among the praises of Israel (BBE)
   
   Psalms 100:4 - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise
   Psalms 100: 4 - Come into his doors with joy, and into his house with praise; (BBE)
   
   The greatest miracle in your life will not require more than the presence of God.

It Removes Buying And Selling In Your Life.
When people sung Hosanna to Jesus, He entered the temple and removed buyers and sellers in the Temple. – Matthew 21:9 – 12.

When you sing hosanna, God steps in a removes everything in your life that is not godly.

Hosanna brings God to restore your Home, business, career, dignity and destiny.

TOPIC – Understanding The Power Of Praise

Praise is a Powerful Spiritual tool.

Example of Paul & Silas - Acts 16:23 – 26
23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Despite PAIN and HUMILIATION Paul and Silas did the un-usual. They Praised God! - Normally in prison you hear Groaning & Cursing

Paul and Silas knew the following:

1.     Praise raises ones hearts above their troubles to enter into God’s presence and power.
Psalms 100:4 - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise

2.     Praise invites God to your circumstance
Psalms 22:3 - But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

3.      Praise God makes God do the impossible in your situation
Exodus 15:11 - Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Make praise a lifestyle; miracles will become common for you.
