Those Who Look Up Never Get Stranded.

Change Yourself: The World Will Follow.

Beloved brethren, today I want us  to reflect on the following wisdom statement:

"Yesterday, I was clever: so I wanted to change the world. Today, I am wise, so I am changing myself."

This statement speaks volumes about the evolution from youthful ambition to mature wisdom.

It reminds us that self-improvement is the cornerstone for broader change around us.

When we are young or just beginning our journey, our hearts are often filled with a burning desire to make a difference. This desire to change the world is often driven by passion and a feeling of cleverness.

But as we walk the path of life, we begin to notice the complexity of the world.

We start to realise that cleverness and passion alone cannot change the world. And more often even the people around us.

We realize that true change starts within us.

Jesus taught this very well in Matthew 7:3 KJV:

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”

Jesus is inviting us to consider our own state before seeking to alter the world around us.

The journey from "cleverness" to "wisdom" is marked by internal change in us.

By seeking to transform ourselves, we inherently begin to influence the world around us.

Each small step towards becoming a better person creates a ripple effect in our families, communities, and beyond.

As we endeavour to change ourselves, let us remember to lean on God for help and guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV reminds us:

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”.

Let us commit ourselves to continuous personal growth, and allow our transformed lives to impact the world in loving and powerful ways.

Be inspired to examine yourself thoroughly, with an earnest desire to change and grow. Your efforts will lead to a better you and a better world for all.

The change you want to see in the world: starts with a change in you.

The world will only change: when you start changing.

The choice is yours.

God Who Answers Our Cries

God Who Answers and Strengthens:

Today, I want us to remind ourselves, that we serve a God who hears our cries and responds with love and power.

In Psalm 138:3, we find a powerful testimony to the faithfulness of our Lord.

“In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.”

From this powerful scripture, we can draw the following:

I. We Serve a God Who Answers:

"In the day when I cried thou answeredst me..."

Our God is not distant or disinterested, but a loving Father who is attentive to the needs of His children.

No matter how dire our circumstances may seem, we can be assured that the Lord hears our cries and will respond in His perfect timing.

II. We Serve a God Who Strengthens:

"...and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul."

Not only does the Lord answer our prayers, but He also strengthens us with the power we need to endure to victory.

The psalmist testifies that when he cried out, God not only heard him, but also increased the strength of his soul.

This is a beautiful picture of the way God works in our lives. He meets us in our weakness and infuses us with His divine strength, empowering us to face the challenges before us.

When we are weary, when our spirits are low, when the burdens of life threaten to overwhelm us, we can turn to the God who strengthens.

He will renew our strength, fill us with His peace, and give us the courage to persevere.

In conclusion, let us take comfort in the fact that our God is the God who answers and the God who strengthens.

When we call upon Him, He will hear our cries and respond with His loving provision.

Let us confidently approach the throne of grace, knowing that our God is faithful and true. He will answer us and strengthen us.
