REACHING OUT GenZ WITH THE GOSPEL:

REACHING OUT TO GenZ WITH THE GOSPEL:

Beloved brethren, it is not a secret anymore that GenZ and the other younger generations are growing in their distaste for religion and religious institutions including Christianity.

They increasingly view religious institutions and religious people as out of touch or even irrelevant.

For a nation like Kenya with an average age of 19 years, that is not good.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is not a religion: it is a relationship with God through Christ.

To reach out to GenZ and the young generations with this fact require a change of tactics.

GenZ are not looking for Biblical quotes and religious jargons.

They are looking for something that will change their lives and change their circumstances.

They are looking for authenticity, justice, unconditional love and fairness.

The question is:
How do we reach out to these precious generations?

1. Speak Their Language with Love and Truth:

Jesus always met people where they were.

He didn’t come with judgment, but with compassion.

In John 1:14, the Bible says:

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us... full of grace and truth.”

2. Be The Example They Can See.

Many young people are not looking for a sermon from us. They are watching our lives.

3. Use Technology and Creativity.

Jesus taught with stories (parables), not lectures.

Today’s stories are often told on screens: TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook etc.

Let us go where the young generations are.

Let us tell testimonies, make short videos, write songs, start podcasts, and share the gospel in creative, compelling ways.

As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:22,

“I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”

4. Empower Them to Serve and Lead.

Jesus did not just teach the disciples: He sent them out.

Let us not wait for young people to be “old enough” to serve.

Give them assignments now!

David was a teenager when he defeated Goliath.

Timothy was young, yet Paul entrusted him with major responsibilities.

The gospel is still the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16).

No generation is beyond the reach of the love of Christ including GenZ and other young generations.

Let us rise up, not with LOUDER SERMONS, but with GENUINE COMPASSION.

Let GenZ and every young soul see Jesus in us.

Gen Z Protests In Kenya

Dear Gen Z in Kenya,

We have heard your voices loud and clear. Your grievances are well noted, and the work to address them has started in earnest.

We understand the urgency and passion behind your demands, but we encourage you to refrain from further demonstrations, as they often lead to the loss of life and destruction of property, which can be counterproductive.

Implementing the changes you are advocating for takes time and wisdom. It requires a delicate balance of patience, dialogue, and diligent effort.

We believe that engaging in constructive dialogue, no matter how challenging it may be, is the path forward.

Dialogue allows us to see things from different perspectives, which can uncover solutions that were not obvious before.

A civilized society must create room for open and respectful communication, even when we don't always agree.

We humbly ask that you give the national leadership the time and space to work on implementing the changes you are seeking.

We are confident that with your continued advocacy and the government's commitment to address your concerns, meaningful progress can be made.

Together, through open and transparent dialogue, we can build a better future for all Kenyans.

Let us move forward in a spirit of unity, understanding, and mutual respect.

Kenya has changed because of your boldness, courage and sacrifice.

Going further with demonstrations will spoil your enviable achievements so far.

Gen Z Time Bomb Exploded

Gen Z Has Always Been A Time Bomb: Waiting To Happen.

Kenyan Society has let down the young people, especially Gen Z, for so long: but it couldn't go forever.

Below are seven reasons why Gen Z are frustrated with not just the finance bill, but a lot more else happening in our society.

1. Parental Disconnect: Many Kenyan parents today are so consumed by work and other commitments that they have little quality time to truly connect with their children. This disconnect leaves Gen Z feeling unsupported and overlooked.

2. Education-Job Mismatch: The Kenyan education system often fails to equip young people with the practical skills needed in the modern job market. This creates a frustrating mismatch between qualifications and available opportunities.

3. Limited Job Prospects: The Kenyan job market is struggling to keep up with the influx of young graduates, leaving many Gen Z individuals feeling left out and unable to find fulfilling employment.

4. Lack of Youth Representation: Kenyan decision-makers, from the government to the corporate world, tend to be dominated by older generations. This leaves Gen Z underrepresented in important conversations that shape their future.

5. Inadequate Mental Health Support: The unique stresses and challenges faced by Kenyan youth are often overlooked, with limited access to mental health resources and support systems.

6. Diminished Economic Opportunities: The economic climate in Kenya poses significant barriers for young entrepreneurs and innovators, limiting the potential of Gen Z to contribute to the growth of the nation.

7. Generational Divide: The widening gap between the experiences and perspectives of older and younger Kenyans has led to a breakdown in intergenerational understanding and collaboration, further alienating Gen Z.

Finance Bill was just a trigger.

Gen Z have been unhappy with many other things, for far too long.

To address these pressing issues, it is crucial for the Kenyan society as a whole - from parents to policymakers - to actively engage with Gen Z.

Listen to their concerns, and work together to develop comprehensive, long-term solutions that empower and uplift them across the Nation.

To all our beloved Gen Z. We have heard you clearly. We are waking up from our slumber.
