Ingratitude

Don't Be Shocked By Ungrateful People. 

My dear brethren, today I want us to digest some words of wisdom from a a wise philosopher who said:

"The day a blind man sees, the first thing he throws away is the walking stick that has helped him all his life"

This saying reminds us of a profound truth about the human condition - our natural tendency towards ingratitude, even towards those who have helped us the most.

This parable echoes the words of the Paul in 2 Timothy 3:2 KJV,

"For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy." 

The human heart can be too quick to forget the blessings we have received from those who have done so much to help us.

It is easy for us to become ungrateful.

Easy for us to take for granted the sacrifices and efforts of others, especially when we no longer require their help. 

Let us not be shocked when we witness the ingratitude of those we have helped before.

Remember that we too are susceptible to this bad human tendency.

Please cultivate the spirit of gratitude in your heart. It will serve you well in your relationships with God and other people. 

May you be blessed with the wisdom to cherish the "walking sticks" in your life.

May you never be tempted to bite the hands that fed you food yesterday: even if your are able to afford a better diet today. 

Only a foolish man will "poopoo" on the plate he eat from yesterday.

Unfortunately, the spirit ingratitude makes many people bite the hands that fed them before: 

and "poopoo" on the plates they eat from yesterday.
