SELF CONTROL: THE ABILITY TO CONTROL DECISIONS DESPITE THE EMOTIONS.
Life will always present moments that stir our emotions.
We may feel anger, fear, disappointment, excitement, or frustration.
While emotions are a natural part of being human, they should never be allowed to become the captain of our lives.
True self-control is not the absence of emotions—it is the ability to make wise decisions even when emotions are running high.
Mature people do not react to every feeling; they respond with wisdom, patience, and purpose.
Before speaking, pause.
Before acting, think.
Before making an important decision, allow wisdom—not emotions—to take the lead.
The greatest victories in life are often won, not by controlling circumstances, but by controlling ourselves.
"He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city." — Proverbs 16:32 (KJV)
May God grant us the grace to govern our hearts, rule our spirits, and make decisions that honour Him every day.
