The Free Tea That Changed Everything
One Sunday morning, a man was hurrying to the market when his Christian friend stopped him.
"Please come to church with me today."
The man smiled and replied, "No, thank you. I'm too busy."
His friend added with a grin, "There will be free tea after the service."
The man paused. "Tea, you say? Well... perhaps the Lord is calling me after all!"
He attended the service, enjoyed the worship, listened to the preaching, and stayed for fellowship. Sure enough, there was a cup of tea waiting for him.
As he sipped the tea, he laughed and said, "This is the best tea I've ever had!"
His friend smiled and replied, "It wasn't the tea that changed your life. It was the Word of God you heard before the tea."
From that day onward, the man became a regular worshipper. Years later, whenever people asked him how he came to Christ, he would jokingly say,
"I came for the tea... but I stayed for Jesus!"
Sometimes, a simple invitation is all God needs to transform a life. Never underestimate the power of inviting someone to church. You may think you're offering them a seat in a sanctuary, but God may be offering them a brand-new beginning.
