Overcoming The Spirit of Cain

OVERCOMING THE SPIRIT OF CAIN IN US:

Beloved brethren, do you know that Cain hated his brother Abel because God seemed to favour Abel’s sacrifice more than his own?

Nothing more: just envy: simple jealousy. 

Instead of humbling himself and asking, ......“What can I also do to please God?” ......he chose the path of bitterness, envy, and destruction.

When God asked him about Abel, Cain replied rudely:

Genesis 4:9 KJV:

“And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? 

And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?”

Sadly, the spirit of Cain is still alive today. 

Sometimes it shows in envy, jealousy, hatred, gossip, rivalry, or even a refusal to support others simply because they are doing well. 

Unfortunately, it is possible to carry the spirit of Cain without even realizing it.

Let us examine ourselves!!!

Instead of resenting those who seem to be walking in God’s favour, let us learn from them.

Let us change and position ourselves for God’s blessing.

Simply said, let us:

✔️ Celebrate others.

✔️ Learn from others.

✔️ Pray for others.

✔️ Guard your heart against envy.

May we never allow the spirit of Cain to find a home in our hearts.
