ORDAINED NOT FOR OURSELVES, BUT FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
Jesus called His disciples to be with Him and then to serve others.
He did not call them merely to occupy positions, receive titles, or enjoy privileges.
He called them into a life of service, sacrifice, love and spiritual responsibility.
Jesus Himself demonstrated this perfectly. Though He was Lord and Master, He became the Chief Servant among His disciples.
He taught them that true greatness in the Kingdom is measured not by how many people serve us, but by how faithfully we serve others.
“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

Pastoral ordination, therefore, is not a promotion into privilege; it is a commission into service.
We are ordained for the people of God—to feed the flock, teach the Word, strengthen the weak, encourage the discouraged, seek the lost, pray for the people, provide godly leadership, and faithfully point them to Christ.
A shepherd does not exist for the sheep to serve him; the shepherd exists to care for the sheep.
May God help every pastor, minister and spiritual leader to remember that the mantle we carry is not primarily a badge of honour, but a responsibility to serve God's people with humility, integrity and love.
We are ordained not for ourselves, but for the people of God.
