Christ The Bishop of Our Souls:

Beloved brethren, today I want to emphasis on the need to know Christ as the Bishop of our Souls.

Apostle Peter makes it so plain for us in 1 Peter 2:25 KJV,

"For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls."

In New Living Translation (NLT), this scripture reads:

"Once you were like sheep who wandered away. 

But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls".

New International Version (NIV) reads,

"For you were like sheep going astray,

but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."

We were once lost, wandering aimlessly like wayward sheep. 

But the Good Shepherd found us and brought us back to the fold. (John 10:12)

We are now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls.

May we always follow His voice and keep our eyes fixed upon Him: (John 10:27)

He is the Guardian, the Overseer and the Bishop who watches over our souls.
