Trumpet Service

Trumpet Service.

Happy New Month Brethren. Today, I want us to understand why we hold a special "Covenant Day of Trumpet Service", every first day of every month.

This service holds great significance, rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Scriptures.

In Psalms 81:3-6 NLT, we find a divine command that instructs us  as follows:

3. Blow the ram’s horn (Trumpet) at new moon, and again at full moon to call a festival!

4. For this is required by the decrees of Israel; it is a regulation of the God of Jacob.

5. He made it a law for Israel when he attacked Egypt to set us free. I heard an unknown voice say,

6. “Now I will take the load from your shoulders; I will free your hands from their heavy tasks".

This instruction is not merely a suggestion, but a decree from the God of Jacob, who has made it a law for His people.

First and foremost, the blowing of the trumpet is a call to worship, a summons to draw near to our God.

It is a reminder that we are His people, and He desires our devotion and adoration.
As the Psalmist declares:

"This is required by the decrees of Israel; it is a regulation of the God of Jacob" (Psalm 81:4).

Moreover, blowing the trumpet holds a deeper significance. It is a proclamation of God's faithfulness and a celebration of His mighty acts.

In the Scriptures, we read that the trumpet was blown when the Israelites were delivered from the bondage of Egypt (Psalm 81:5).

The trumpet's sound was a joyous announcement of their freedom. Freedom from bondage. Freedom from captivity.

Today, as we blow the trumpet, we are reminded of God's unwavering love and His desire to free us from the burdens of in our lives.

As the Psalmist proclaims,

"Now I will take the load from your shoulders; I will free your hands from their heavy tasks" (Psalm 81:6).

Beloved, let this Trumpet Service be a time of profound worship, a moment of Celebration and Thanksgiving.

As we lift our voices in praise and blow the trumpet together today, let us remember that:

•We are God's beloved children,

•Redeemed by His grace, and

•Called to walk in the freedom that He has so graciously provided.

May the sound of the trumpet resonate within our hearts, stirring us to draw ever closer to our God.

May the sound of the trumpet be a constant reminder of His unfailing love and the blessings that He bestows upon us.

Happy New Month my beloved brethren.

Blow the trumpet and celebrate God with me.

Happy New Month.
