Solving Conflicts, Without Combats.

Solving Conflicts, Without Combats.

My dear brethren, today I want us to reflect on the wisdom of addressing conflicts and misunderstandings in our lives.

A wise man once said,

"Conflicts are inevitable, but Combats are optional."

This profound statement reminds us that while disagreements and misunderstandings are a natural part of life, how we choose to respond to them is what truly matters.

Proverbs 4:7, teaches us that:

"wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding"

It is with wisdom and understanding that we can navigate the inevitable conflicts that arise within our families, communities, and relationships.

When wisdom is applied in a conflict, combat can be avoided.

In Proverbs 16:20, we learn,

“He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he”.

Apostle James, gives us profound guidance on this matter. He writes, in James 3:13,

"Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom"

Here, James reminds us that true wisdom is not found in aggressive confrontation, but in the gentle approach of seeking to understand one another.

Another wise man once said,

"In a conflict, raise your thoughts, not your fist."

This principle is echoed in the words in Psalms 46:10,

"Be still, and know that I am God"

It is in moments of stillness, reflection, and a willingness to listen, that we find the wisdom to resolve conflicts gracefully.

Let us choose the path of wisdom, seeking to understand before being understood. Choosing to respond with meekness and compassion in every interaction.

Proverbs 15:1, tells us,

"A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger"

This way, we can transform the inevitable conflicts in our lives into opportunities for growth, reconciliation, and building of stronger relationships.

May divine wisdom be your guiding light in handling all misunderstandings and conflicts.

May you raise your thoughts, anytime you are tempted to raise your fist.

Fists have never solved any conflict. !!!
