CELEBRATING OUR HEROES WHILE ALIVE:
Amidst the busyness of daily life,
Let us pause and observe with keen attention,
For heroes walking among us,
Unsung, yet instrumental.
They may not don special capes or special gowns,
Nor boast of grand, heroic achievements,
But in the quiet of their daily duties,
They make a difference in their own ways.
A parent who works tirelessly,
To provide a home so lovingly.
A teacher who inspires young minds,
Cultivating dreams and Visions in them.
The neighbour who lends a helping hand, In times of need.
The volunteer who gives of their time,
To better the lives of those they find in need.
These are the heroes in our midst,
Whose contributions we often miss.
Let us celebrate them while they live,
For the gifts of time and service they offer.
Their flaws and weaknesses we may see,
For they are human, like me and you.
But their positive impact shines so bright,
Illuminating the world with their light.
So let us cultivate a culture of praise,
Honouring our heroes in meaningful ways.
For the true strength of a community,
Lies in the heroes we can readily see.
