·       Faith in THE PROPHETS

2 Chronicles 20:20

- Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (KJV)
- have faith in the Lord your God and you will be safe; have faith in his prophets and all will go well for you. (BBE)

Week 1 (Wed 7^th May)   – PART I - FAITH IN GOD
 

Who is Our God?

1.    All Powerful

2.    All Knowing

3.    All Wise

4.    All Faithful

5.    All Compassionate

6.    Ever Able- Ephesians 3:20 -
Now unto him that is ABLE to do EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY, ABOVE ALL that we ask or think,

7.    Ever willing to help – Matt. 8:2-3
2 …a leper came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if you are willing, make me clean.
3 And Jesus  touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

8.    Ever ready – Ps. 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Week 2 (Wed 14^th May)  - FAITH IN THE WORD –

Luke 1:45 - And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Matthew 8:8,13
8- The centurion (Captain) answered and said, Lord, …speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
13- And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Why Believe in the Word?

1.    Incorruptible
Psalms 119:89- For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

2Corithians. 13:8 - For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. (John 17:17 - thy word is truth.)
     

2.    Infallible (Dependable, Reliable, Watertight, Foolproof)
Matthew 24:35 - Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that he should lie

Hebrews 6:18 - That by two immutable (undeniable, unchangeable, irreversible) things, in which it was impossible for God to lie,

3.    Quick and Powerful
Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword

Roman 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation

4.    Creative
Gen. 1:1-31
John 1:1,3
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
3- All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

5.    Prophetic
2Peter 1:19- 20
19 - We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
20 -Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
                                 

6.    Medicinal
Proverbs 4:20, 22
20 - My son, attend to my words;
22 - For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Luke 5:17 - And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching,……. the power of the Lord was present to heal...

7.    Surgical
Gen. 2:17-19 – Created Eve by operating on Adam
Hebrews 4:12 - word of God is quick, and powerful, …. piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints (bones) and marrow (muscles),
             

8.    In Control of All Things –
Hebrews 1:3 - ….upholding all things by the word of his power.

v It is faith that commits the Word to perform and deliver our desired result

COMMUNION
1Corinthians 10:16 - The CUP OF BLESSING which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
