TOPIC – The Joy Of Christmas

Text: Luke 2:1 - 20
We celebrate Christmas to remind ourselves of the joy that Christ brought.
Luke 2:10 - And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

Jesus Came For The Following Among Many Others:

1. Jesus Brought Good News.
   We are leaving in days of bad news.
   Christ came to bring GOOD TIDINGS. – May you be a partaker today!
   Luke 2:10 - And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
   
2. Jesus Came To Restore The Glory Adam Lost.
   Adam had no shame around Him
   Genesis 2:25 - And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were NOT ASHAMED.
   
   (Joke: - Don’t try coming naked next Sunday; you will fellowship alone!)
3. Jesus Came To Restore Fellowship Between Man And God That Adam Lost. God Used To Visited Adam and Eve Regularly
   Genesis 3: 8 – 10
   8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
   9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
   10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
   
4. He Came To Restore Man To Eden Status.
   Adam was chased out of Eden Because of Sin
   Genesis 3:23 – 24
   23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
   24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
   
   What Was In Eden
   1. Devine Health (No sickness, not stress etc)
   2. Divine Provisions (All Manner of fruits)
   3. Divine Wisdom ( Adam was able to name all the animals without help)

Finally – Make this Christmas an Experience
Let us cerebrate this Christmas with the Best Meals. Let us also flow out to our neigbours.

Jesus came to multiply food where food may be a challenge
John 6: 11 – 13
11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which Remained Over And Above unto them that had eaten.

Every family will have OVER and ABOVE provisions this Christmas.
