THANK YOU.

TWO LITTLE WORDS: “THANK YOU”.

Many people do not know how to use two little but mysteriously powerful words:

“THANK YOU.”

They are small words, but they carry a great deal of power.

“Thank You” has the potential to keep the blessings flowing in our lives. It reminds us that what we have is not entirely the result of our own strength, wisdom, or effort.

“Thank You” has the potential to keep us humble—because gratitude reminds us that somebody helped us, somebody opened a door, somebody stood with us, and ultimately, God has been good to us.

“Thank You” has the potential to make us wiser—because a grateful heart learns to recognize the value of people, opportunities, experiences, and even the lessons hidden in difficult seasons.

Sometimes, before asking God for more, we should pause and thank Him for what we already have.

Before you pray for another blessing, ask God for a grateful heart.

Before you complain about what is missing, remember what is already present.

Before you ask, “Lord, what next?” take a moment to say:

“Lord, thank You for what You have already done.”

The Bible says:

“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
— Psalm 136:1 (KJV)

Gratitude does not mean that everything is perfect. It means that, even in an imperfect season, you can still recognize the goodness of God.

Never underestimate the power of two little words:

THANK YOU!
