Honesty: The Best Policy.
Beloved brethren, today I want us to interrogate a powerful quote from my spiritual father, Bishop David Oyedepo.
He once said:
"If you lie today, it will show tomorrow."
The truth has a way of revealing itself, no matter how hard we try to conceal it.
Dishonesty and deception may seem tempting in the moment, but they never lead to anything good.
Proverbs 12:22 KJV, states:
"Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight"
Embracing a lifestyle of truthfulness is the honorable path.
In John 8:32, Jesus said:
"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"
When we live with integrity, and speak with honesty, we experience the freedom that comes from walking Right in the Light.
Lies may provide a temporary cover, but they will eventually get exposed.
Truth, on the other hand, has a lasting power that brings peace to our souls.
Resolve to be a man or woman of integrity: truthful, trustworthy and transparent.
Proverbs 12:19 KJV, says;
"The lip of truth shall be established for ever:
but a lying tongue is but for a moment".
Honesty is indeed the best policy.
