When God Breaks You Down, It Is To Build You Up.

My dear friends, today I want us to reflect on the words of Christ in John 12:24 KJV, where He says, 

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."

This powerful parable that Jesus shared speaks to the very heart of the Christian life. 

When God allows us to go through times of brokenness and difficulty, it is not because He wishes to harm us, but because He desires to transform us. 

He sees the potential within us, the beautiful fruit that can only come forth through a process of dying to self.

Just as the seed must be broken open in order to germinate and grow, so too must our pride, our stubbornness, and our fears be broken down, so that a new life can flourish within us. 

Don't be afraid of the times when God seems to be "breaking you down." 

Trust in His perfect plan, knowing that He is working all things together for your good. 

It is only when you die from the "old-self", that you can truly live a "new-self" bearing the fruit that God desires to produce in your life.

Embrace this truth with an open heart and a joyful spirit, as you follow in the footsteps of our Savior, who died that we might live.

Remember:

"When God breaks you down, it is to build you up".
