Alcohol Epidemic in Kenya

Alcohol Epidemic in Kenya:

My dear Kenyan, today, I come to you with a heavy heart, because of alcoholism in this Nation.

We once were a people of industry, hard work, and strong family values. Now we are becoming a nation of drunkards and alcohol addicts.

We have pubs, bars, and drinking joints beckoning our people on every street, on every corner, along every road, in every shopping mall etc.

We are increasingly having more liquor stores than grocery shops.

Our men, who should be the pillars of their homes, waste away their hard-earned wages on cheap alcohol, staggering home late at night, bringing shame and despair to their families.

This is not the Kenya that our forefathers fought and died for.

This is not the Kenya that was meant to be a beacon of hope and prosperity in Africa.

This path of alcohol addiction will only lead to the destruction of our communities, and the collapse of our nation.

In Proverbs 20:1 KJV, it is written:

"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise."

In Ephesians 5:18, Apostle Paul admonishes us:

"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit."

My dear Kenyan, we must heed these warnings. We must turn away from the temptations of the bottle and return to the righteous path.

Alcohol is a demon that seeks to enslave our souls and destroy our humanity.

Let us rise up as a nation and say "No more!"

Let us shut down these dens of iniquity that have taken root in our communities.

Let us invest in programs that rehabilitate and restore those who have fallen victim to alcoholism.

Let us teach our children the value of sobriety, hard work, and godly living.

Only then can we reclaim the Kenya of our dreams - a nation of prosperity and strong families.

God bless you.

God bless Kenya.
