Work As Jesus Did

Work As Jesus Did:

In the gospel of John, Jesus said,

"I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day;
night is coming, when no one can work" (John 9:4).

This powerful statement reveals Jesus' unwavering dedication to His mission on earth - to do the Father's will and bring salvation to all the people.

We see this same commitment in Matthew 5:17, where Jesus declares,

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;
I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them."

In John 5:17, Jesus tells us that His Father is "still working" and He too must work.

“.....My Father worketh hitherto, and I work”.

We witness Jesus doing exactly that, in Acts 10:38.

 "...going about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him."

Jesus was constantly on the move, tirelessly working to minister to the people, to bring healing and restoration, and to advance the Kingdom of God.

This should be an example and an inspiration for all Christian.

We, too, have been called to a sacred work - to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
To share the good news of His gospel, and to bring the Love of God to everyone, far and near.

In Colossians 3:23, Apostle Paul reminds us,

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men."

This is a call to excellence: to approach our work with diligence, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Whether we are employed in the marketplace, serving in a church, or taking care of our families at home, we are to do all things as unto the Lord.

In Proverbs 14:23, we read,

"In all labour there is profit,..."

This reminds us that true blessing comes from a life of commitment to our work.

And in 1 Corinthians 15:58, Apostle Paul encourages us,

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."

Let us follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and embrace the value of work with unwavering commitment.

Let us be diligent, faithful, and purposeful in all that we do, knowing that our labour is never in vain.

When we work with our hearts surrendered to God, we bring glory to Him and advance His kingdom here on earth.

May God bless you and keep you, and may your work be a demonstration of your love for Him and His Kingdom.
