Value The Work On Your Hands Now:
In the gospel of John, Jesus said,
"I must work the works of him who sent me while it is
day; night is coming, when no one can work" (John 9:4).
This powerful statement reveals Jesus' unwavering dedication
to His mission on earth - to do the Father's will and bring salvation to all
people.
We see this same commitment in Matthew 5:17, where Jesus
declares,
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or
the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them."
In the gospel of John, Jesus tells us that His Father is still
working and He too must work.
“.....My Father worketh hitherto, and I work”. – John 5:17
Jesus did not come to take a break on earth. He came with a
clear purpose, a divine calling to fulfil the Scriptures and accomplish the
work the Father had for Him.
As we read in Acts 10:38, we witness Jesus
"going about
doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with
him."
Jesus was constantly on the move, tirelessly working to
minister to the people, to bring healing and restoration, and to advance the
Kingdom of God.
This should be an example and an inspiration for all Christian.
We, too, have been
called to a sacred work - to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to share the good
news of the gospel, and to bring the love of God to everybody near and far.
In Colossians 3:23, Apostle Paul reminds us,
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and
not for men."
This is a call to excellence, to approach our work with
diligence, integrity, and a deep sense of purpose.
Whether we are employed in the marketplace, serving in the
church, or caring for our families, we are to do all things as unto the Lord,
knowing that our labour is not in vain.
In Proverbs 14:23, we read,
"In all labour there is profit, but mere talk tends
only to poverty."
This reminds us that true blessing comes from a life of commitment
to our work.
And in 1 Corinthians 15:58, Apostle Paul encourages us,
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast,
immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord
your labor is not in vain."
Let us heed the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and
embrace the value of work with unwavering commitment.
Let us be diligent, faithful, and purposeful in all that we
do, knowing that our labour in the Lord is never in vain.
When we work with our hearts surrendered to God, we bring
glory to Him and advance His kingdom on earth.
May God bless you and keep you, and may your work be a demonstration
of your love for Him.
