Home Going (Burial) Sermon Note - A Legacy of Faith and Stewardship

A LEGACY OF UNWAVERING FAITH AND UNSHAKABLE STEWARDSHIP.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to honor the life and legacy of our dear sister, EVERLYNE MALENJE.

She was a woman who lived her life with

·        Unwavering Faith,

·        Remarkable Dedication, and an

·        Unshakable Commitment to her Family and her Church.

Through the trials and tribulations of a long illness, EVA never wavered in her trust in the Lord.

Even as her physical body grew weaker, her spirit remained strong, drawing strength from her faith in God and His Eternal Promises.

As the Apostle Paul wrote in

2 Timothy 4:7,

"EVA fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith."

Despite the challenges she faced, EVA remained a faithful steward of all that God had entrusted to her.

·        She served her family with love and devotion, and

·        She served her church with a servant's heart.

As it is written in:

Proverbs 31:20,

"EVA opened her hand to the poor and reached out her hands to the needy."

Now, as we gather to say our final earthly farewell, we take comfort in the hope of eternal life that EVA embraced so fully. For as Jesus promised in:

John 11:25-26,

"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die."

We know that EVA is now resting in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, free from pain and sorrow.

As the Apostle Paul reminds us in:

1 Corinthians 15:54-55,

"Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?"

1 Corinthians 15:26 KJV

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death”

Let us take heart in the knowledge that EVAs legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire us all.

Let us look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her in the eternal kingdom of God.

As Job Reminds us in:

Job 19:25,27 KJV

25. For I know that my redeemer liveth,....

27. Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; ......

May the Lord bless and keep you, EVA, until we meet again. Amen.
