MAKE SACRIFICES: TO MAKE PROGRESS. 

Beloved brethren, today I want us to unpack the following wisdom nugget:

"If you don't sacrifice for what you want, 

then what you want becomes the sacrifice."  

In simple terms:

"Our desires require investment".  

Progress in life demands more than just a wishful thinking.

Progress in life will demand action, dedication, and sacrifice.

A farmer who wants a bountiful harvest must sacrifice his time to plow the field, plant the seeds, nurture the crops, and protect the crop from pest and other spoilers. 

This principle applies to every other area of our lives:

•You want a strong and healthy body?

You will need to sacrifice unhealthy habits, unhealthy foods and dedicate time for bodily exercises.  

•You desire success in your career?

You will need to sacrifice leisure time to further your education and work a little more harder.  

•You yearn for a loving and meaningful relationship?

You will have to sacrifice your pride and invest time and emotional energy on your partner. 

In Matthew 6:21NLT, the Bible says, 

"Wherever your treasure is, 

there the desires of your heart will also be"  

This verse highlights the connection between our investments and our desires.

If you are not willing to invest in your dreams, then your heart is not truly in those dreams.
