Why Jesus Came

Jesus Came for you and me and for many reasons. I will discuss seven of them here

1. He came as a gift of Love
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2. He came to give everlasting life
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3. He came to save not to condemn
John 3: 17 - For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

4. He came to give life
John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

5. He Came to be a good shepherd
John 10:11 - 14
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

6. He Came as The Prince of Peace to give you peace
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The child grew
Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

My Peace
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

7. He came to carry all your heavy burdens
Matthew 11:28 – 30
30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, the do it now by praying this prayer.

Jesus. I accept you as my personal saviour. Wash me clean with your blood that you shed for my sins. Write my name in the book of life. From today I am saved.
