LESSONS FROM THE PRODIGAL SON.
The Parable of the Prodigal Son is a timeless story, full of wisdom that is applicable in our lives today.
One of the major lesson to learn from this parable is the power of Humility and Self-Reflection.
Luke 15:17 KJV
And when he came to himself,
he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
The Prodigal Son's journey began with a desire for independence. A desire to be fully in-charge of his decisions, pursuits and destiny.
Unfortunately, this led him down a path of self destruction.
Humility made a way for him to return.
He recognized his mistakes, and the need to go back with humility and ask for forgiveness from his father after going through a thorough Self-Assessment.
We can apply this wisdom in our lives today by taking time for Self-Examination.
It's not about dwelling on the negative, no, no, no:
It's about carrying out a honest Self-Appraisal.
Creating time for a honest Self-Assessment.
A thorough Self Appraisal will always expose:
•Something to improve,
•Something to adjust,
•Something exchange,
•Something to cut off,
•Something to add.
•Something to flee from etc.
Every "Son" has a "Little Prodigal Son", sitting in his inside.
