TOPIC – Fruits Of Righteousness

Our actions and Life style bears fruits.
Matthew 7:16 -20
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Our actions can be grouped into 3 groups

1. Self –Seeking
2. Men Pleasing
3. God Pleasing

Righteousness has fruits: Righteousness is living a lifestyle that pleases God.
Philippians 1:11 - Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Where Do You Start

1. Make the Tree Good = Make your heart Good
   Matthew 12:33 - Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
   
   Matthew 12:35 - A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
   
   Proverbs 4:23 - Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life
2. Do all things to the glory of God
   I Corinthians 10:31 - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
