The Dangers of The Last Days

THE DANGER OF THE LAST DAYS.

Beloved brethren, the following verse touched me in a unique way during my Bible Studies this week.

2 Timothy 3:4 NIV.
:treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God"

This scripture paints a dark picture of the character of people in the "last days,".

The Binke tells us that the last days will be characterized by a sharp moral decline and spiritual emptiness.

Let us break down each word in this scripture:

1.Treacherous:
This describes people who are deceitful, betraying trust and have no integrity.

They are unreliable and may even actively seek to harm others through their betrayal.

2. Rash:
Rash people act without thinking, making hasty decisions and often causing harm to themselves and others. They lack self control.

They are driven by immediate desires rather than wisdom and careful consideration.

3. Conceited:
Conceited individuals are arrogant, boastful, and often look down on others.

They are more concerned with their own image, and don't care about genuine connection with others.

4. Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God:

This is the climax of the verse:
A misplaced love.

Instead of prioritizing their relationship with God, these people are consumed by the pursuit of worldly pleasures.

This verse is a warning about the kind of character that will prevail in the last days.

Let us remain vigilant against these vices in our society today.
