Jesus Stories and Parables

JESUS STORIES AND PARABLES:

Beloved brethren, do you know why Jesus used stories and parables more than He quoted Scriptures and Theological principles?

The human mind loves stories and relatable details.

The mind is a fertile ground for simple, ready to apply, easy to remember stories.

The parables of Jesus Christ are simple yet profound stories that convey spiritual and moral lessons.

Jesus parables are timeless and continue to inspire and challenge people across cultures and generations across the globe.

Here are five of the most memorable and impactful parables:

1.The Parable of the Good Samaritan - Luke 10:25-37.

This parable teaches about love, compassion, and breaking down cultural barriers.

A Samaritan helps a wounded man on the road after a priest and a Levite ignore him, illustrating that true neighbourly love transcends ethnic and religious boundaries.

Apply this by being the Good Samaritan to someone today.

2. The Parable of the Prodigal Son - Luke 15:11-32

This story highlights forgiveness and unconditional love.

A younger son squanders his inheritance but is welcomed back by his father with open arms, symbolizing God's mercy and the joy of repentance.

Apply this by forgiving someone unconditionally today.

3.The Parable of the Sower - Matthew 13:1-23.

This parable uses the metaphor of seeds falling on different types of soil to illustrate how people respond to the message of the Kingdom of God.

It emphasizes the importance of having a receptive heart to spiritual truths.

Apply this by preparing your heart to receive spiritual truths on daily basis.

4. The Parable of the Mustard Seed - Matthew 13:31-32.

This short parable compares the Kingdom of God to a tiny mustard seed that grows into a large tree, symbolizing how something small and seemingly insignificant can grow into something vast and impactful.

Your Tiny Dreams and Visions have the potential to become amazingly big. Don't despise them.

5. The Parable of the Lost Sheep - Luke 15:3-7.

This story emphasizes the love of God for every individual.

A shepherd leaves his 99 sheep to find one lost sheep, illustrating the joy in heaven over one sinner who repents.

Apply this parable today by going out to win a soul.

One converted soul will bring joy in heaven and a handsome reward for you.
