The Nakedness of A King Is A Reproach To His People.
Beloved brethren, today I want us to unpack the following wisdom nugget.
"The nakedness of a king is a shame and reproach to the people in his kingdom"
When the leadership of a nation is exposed and stripped bare, the people suffer the consequences.
The "nakedness of the king" - whether that be moral, ethical, or political - is a shame and reproach that affects every citizen.
When those in power lose their integrity and dignity, it is the people who bear the burden.
The drama, the circus, and the dysfunction at the top leadership in Kenya is trickling down and tainting all of us in the Nation.
Rather than laugh at the Nakedness of our leaders, we must remember that their nakedness is to our own reproach.
The wellbeing of a country is inextricably linked to the character and competence of its leadership.
Ecclesiastes 10:17 NLT reads,
"Happy is the land whose king is a noble leader,
and whose leaders feast at the proper time to gain strength for their work,
not to get drunk."
The leadership in Kenya is probably not drunk with alcohol, but is certainly drunk with power.
Let us pray for all our leaders.
Pray that God may impart each of them with the spirit of excellency -Daniel 6:3 KJV
