EVERY BELIEVER NEEDS A SPIRITUAL HOME - By Bishop David Oyedepo

Naturally, it can be most miserable to be homeless. In the same vein spiritual homelessness can be most devastating. The local church represents a spiritual home for the believer.
The local church is what is known as Zion in scriptures.

WHAT DOES ZION REPRESENT?

Zion represents the city of refuge – where there is deliverance from the men slayers (Obad. 17). This is made possible through the diverse forces at work in Zion. (Heb. 12:22-24)
The local church is a place of spiritual illumination. (Ps. 73:17)
Zion is the place where we possess our possessions (Acts 20:32, Obad. 17)
It is the place ‘we go from strength to strength’ (Ps. 84:7)
The local church is the spiritual store house from where we draw spiritual supplies. (Mal. 3:10)

HOW DO I DISCOVER MY SPIRITUAL HOME?

Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. (Ps. 23:1-6, Rom. 8:14)
Watch out for whether you are being fed or just being entertained. (Jer. 3:15-16)
Are you being cared for, of just being added to the number? (John 10:13)
Are you flourishing or drying up? (Deut. 12:13-15, Ps. 92:12-15)
In conclusion, if you are genuinely sincere to know your spiritual home, Jesus Christ the chief shepherd will always show up to lead you to where you truly belong.
Jesus is Lord!
Bishop David O. Oyedepo
