Overcoming Temptations Like Jesus

Joseph overcame sexual temptations. He was a human just like you and me. We can too.

Jesus our perfect example was tempted in all points, yet he overcome. We shall overcome too.
Hebrews 4:15 - For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Facts About Temptations

Temptations Are Common
It is even mentioned in the lords prayers
Luke 11:4 - And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

1Corithians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it
Jesus Was Tempted And Overcome
Luke 4:13 - And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
Pray To Overcome Temptations And
Mark 14:38 - Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Luke 22:46 - And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
Flee From Temptations
2Timothy 2:22 - Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Welcome to your year of unprecedented transformation. You are God’s target for an unstoppable agenda of glory this year. There are Waves of Glory sweeping across the earth to terminate every shame, reproach and oppression of the wicked. I see your place and portion in this move of the Spirit becoming evident in all aspects of your life.

It will interest you to know that God created you for glory. The Psalmist makes it clear that you were created “a little lower than the Angels, and crowned with glory and honor.” Psalm 8:5. Therefore, your head shall wear the crown of glory this year. Honor shall be your garment and the banner over you in all your ways.

You are to vehemently resist every issue of shame around you right now in order for you to gain access into this season of glorification. Engage the requisite violence of faith to possess your inheritance. When you insist on your right, Satan cannot resist.
I see you going from glory to glory as the Waves of Glory decorate your life with its treasures, again and again in the course of this amazing year. Surely, 2015 is your own year!
