ANTISOCIAL BY FAITH.

THE RISK OF BECOMING ANTISOCIAL BY FAITH:

Beloved brethren, Christianity is a beautiful call to be different: to live a life set apart by faith, character, and lifestyle.

But sometimes, this beautiful distinction can unknowingly lead us down a lonely path of antisocial tendencies.

We might start to feel that we are not meant to mingle, associate, or work alongside the "world" around us.

However, our faith is not a license for isolation: it is a commission for engagement.

We are called to be the salt of the earth.

Salt cannot change the flavour of a meal by staying in the shaker: it must be sprinkled and mixed in to be effective.

Likewise, we are called to be the light of the world.

To let our actions and our lifestyle shine like light among those around us, not from a distance, but in their midst.

Our purpose is not to condemn the world but to influence it positively.

We are meant to be living examples among them.

If we entertain or develop antisocial behavior, we will never fulfill this crucial mandate.

Our faith should never be an excuse for withdrawing from the very people we are called to love and serve.

Jesus speaking to us in Matthew 5:16 (KJV) says:

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Our good works are meant to be seen and experienced by others, to draw them closer to God.

Keeping a distance from the world in the name of our faith is not godly. It is antisocial and antichrist.

Reaching the world with our fliers and our invitation to church: while avoiding them when they need us, is antisocial and antichrist.

Let us lead the world with love and connection, not with isolation.

Surprisingly, we also need the "world" around us:
they have the land, the halls, the houses, the money, the network and the souls we are called to harvest.

I personally regret the years I thought I was so "Word Loaded" to mingle with the "World".
