Understand FIRST: Judge LAST

UNDERSTAND FIRST: JUDGE LAST.

Beloved brethren, the feeling for a snap judgement is very natural for most human beings. 

We like jumping into our own conclusions even before the story is half-way.

But what if we made a conscious effort to truly understand FIRST, and let judgment be a distant LAST.

Everyone you meet is walking a path you know nothing about.

They have their own unique experiences, challenges, triumphs, and heartaches you may never know.

What you may be thinking is their weakness may be their greatest strength. 

What you may be seeing as their failure may their greatest triumph.

Not everyone is navigating your world.

We may be in the same planet but in very different worlds. 

This is not about condoning harmful behavior: it is about approaching each individual with an open heart and an open mind.

James 1:19 (KJV) says:

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath."

This is the wisdom of listening and understanding first, before forming harsh opinions.

Let us choose to be curious, not critical. 

Let us strive to understand the "WHY" behind the "WHAT." 

When we do that, our judgments will become less frequent, less harsh, and more informed.
