WEDDING BELLS IN KITENGELA.
Beloved brethren, as I am preparing to officiate our first wedding in Kitengela this year, a number of thoughts about marriages are running through my mind.
There is no Perfect Formula to a Perfect Marriage, because Perfect Marriages don't exist.
However, there certain tips to improve our marriage and make them lovely, beautiful and long lasting.
One such thing is the Art of Forgiveness.
The Bible says in Ephesians 4:32 KJV,
"And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Marriage is a journey of two Imperfect People coming together, to live together for the rest of their earthly life.
It is impossible to avoid misunderstandings, disagreements, and hurt feelings in a real marriage.
Learn to forgive quickly and completely, just as God forgives us.
Practice "Advance Forgiveness", because offences will surely come.
Learn to extend grace to each other, remembering that love covers a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8 ESV:
"Above all,
keep loving one another earnestly,
since love covers a multitude of sins"
