OLD IS GOLD:
Nurture And Cherish Old Friendships.
Beloved brethren, a wise man said:
"It takes a long time to become old friends,"
In a world that often celebrate "The New" and "The Shiny":
Let us remember the enduring beauty of "Old Friendships".
Let us cherish those old friends who know our stories, who have seen us at our best and at our worst, and still chose to remain our friends.
I humbly urge you to nurture and cherish the old friendships that God has given you.
Old friendships is Gold.
Nurture your old friendships by:
1. Making Time:
No matter how busy you are, create time "out of no time" for friendships.
A simple phone call, a shared cup of coffee, a heartfelt SMS or WhatsApp message can make all the difference.
2. Listening Deeply:
A true friend, will not only hear your voice, he or she will also hear your heart.
3. Forgive:
A true friend understands that we are all human. We error and make mistakes.
True friendships offers grace to forgive and accommodate.
4.Celebrations:
Sharing joys and successes strengthens relationships and creates lasting memories.
Don't Ignore wedding invitations, graduations ceremonies, birthdays parties etc of your old friends.
Even if you cannot attend or afford a gift, a message of goodwill will make a big difference.
5. Be Present in Difficult Times:
Standing with a friend during their struggles is a powerful demonstration of genuine friendships.
The presence of an old friend is so comforting in times of adversity.
Old friendships reminds you that you are never truly alone.
I salute All My Old Friends, and I vow to always treasure our friendships.
