Uhuru Kenyatta Pronounced Kenya's 4th President Elect


Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta the son of Kenya's founding president Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, has formally been pronounced Kenyan's 4th President Elect by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) after garnering 6,173,433 votes which is 50.07 percent of votes cast while his main rival the current prime minister Raila Amolo Ondinga got 43.28 percent.
Kenyatta secured 6,173,433 votes out of a total of 12,338,667 ballots cast, indicating that he had secured the more than 50 percent of votes needed for a first round win. He managed to pass the 50 percent mark by a margin of 4,100 votes.

Raila got 5,340,546 trailing Uhuru by 832,897 votes.

Total voter turn out was 12,338,667 out of the total 14,337,399 registered voters making it a 86 percent voter turn out.
