Examples Of Readers Who Became Leaders And Sustained Their Leadership By Reading

1.     Joshua The Greatest General
Joshua 1:8 - This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

The book of the law was keep in the sactuary, but Joshua made his own copy. –
Deuteronomy  17:18 - And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
- He won battles easily
- He made his ways prosperous
- He enjoyed good success

2.     Daniel The Celebrated Captive
Daniel 9:2 - In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

3.     Paul The Greatest Evangelist
2Timothy 4:13 - The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.
4.     Paul Advised His Spiritual Son Timothy
2 Timothy 2:15 -  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

5.     We Enjoy The Old Testament Because Of A Man Called BARUCH
Jeremiah 36:1 – 32
verse 4 - Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the lord, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
Verse 32 - Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words

What Reading And Learning Does

1.     It Keep Shame Far Away

Matthew 5:14 - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Go And Use Your Light To Lead The People To Their Freedom
Matthew 5:15 – 16
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
