WHY THE CHURCH NEED WISDOM NOW MORE THAN EVER?

Why The Church Need Wisdom now more than ever?
Because, the number of Christians has multiplied

Acts 6:1 -3
1And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

 2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

 3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

Effect
Acts 6:7 - And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Learning points
1. Increase of Numbers – Brings Murmuring
2. They did not pray, they reasoned (Verse 2)

2. Neglect causes problems - e.g. Neglected child(Wife) = problematic child(Wife)

Jesus Said WATCH and PRAY (Observe, reason and plan, then pray)
Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

·        We have a head to go ahead.

·        It takes ahead to go ahead

·        God gave us a head so that He can rest.

·        When our head goes to work, the work goes ahead: When our head go to rest, the work is laid to rest!

·        Head of departments are appointed coz they have the head to head

What does it take to apply Wisdom?

1.     Device your way (Plan)
Proverbs 16:9 - A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Don’t go to God without a plan

2.     Know you have the mind of Christ
Christ = The anointed one
1Corithians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
You have an anointed mind

3.     Accept responsibility
Proverbs 27:23 - Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

4.     Locate relevant and adequate facts
- Be current
- Be Informed
- Read Books
- Make observations
- Ask Questions
- Be teachable

5.     Present Your facts to God and pray for final guidance
Proverbs 16:9 - A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Proverbs 16:3 - Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

God has the final Command!

6.     Look out for peace in your heart
Psalms 85:8 - I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints:
