TOPIC – Growing In Righteousness

Every Christian is expected to grow up in Christian Virtues -righteousness, grace, love, knowledge, faith etc

1Peter 2:2 - As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Malachi 4:2 - But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Why You Need Growth

1. Growth shows you are healthy (Spiritually)
2. Growth makes Christ increase in you while your-old-self decreases.
   John 3:30 - He must increase, but I must decrease.

How Do You Grow in Righteousness

1. Sow yourself in righteousness
   Hosea 10:12 - Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
   
2. Study the scriptures
   2Timothy3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
   
   1Peter 2:2 - As newborn babes, desire the SINCERE MILK OF THE WORD, that ye may grow thereby:
   
3. Put on a new man
   Ephesians 4:23 -24
   23 - And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
   24 - And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness
