Work Hard On Yourself Than You Work On Your Job.

Work Harder On Yourself Than You Work On Your Job.

Today we reflect on the wisdom found in the words of a wise man who said,

"Work harder on yourself than you work on your job."

This timeless advice holds the key to unlocking our true potential.

While there is merit in striving for excellence in our work, we must not lose sight of the even greater importance of personal development.

In 2 Peter 1:5-7, we are exhorted to:

"add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity."

This is a challenge to us to actively pursue personal growth to become better and better.

The surest path to improving our lives lies in our inner transformation, not in mere external pursuits.

Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2,

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Let us heed the wisdom of this timeless adage and commit ourselves to the lifelong journey of personal development.

Let us work harder on ourselves, cultivating virtues, knowledge, and godly character that will enable us to live lives of purpose and impact.

When we invest in our own growth and transformation, we unleash the unlimited potential that God has placed within us.

When we develop ourselves, we become vessels of His love and grace, shining brightly in a world that so desperately needs good examples to learn and copy from.

May you find the courage and the determination to work harder on yourself than you work on your job.

You are the “Real Deal”: Your Job and career are secondary.
