Becoming A Relevant Servant In The Kingdom Of God

We are create to serve God

 Jesus answering Satan said:
…Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. - Matthew 4:10. Worship also represent service in this context.

Proverbs 16:4 -  The LORD hath made all things for himself:

Deuteronomy 10:12 - And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

But it is our responsibility to make ourselves Relevant Servants.

Definitions:

Relevant = Being closely connected

                  = Can not be ignored

Servant = Care taker

                = Steward

                 = Some one servicing the need of another or others

                  = Some one put in charge to take care of what does not belong to him.

Kingdom = A country or a state ruled by a King or a Queen

God = The Supreme being, the creator, the ruler of the universe.

         = Jesus introduced Him as our heavenly father – Luke 11: 2 - Our Father which art in heaven,

Therefore:
A relevant kingdom servant = Any one who serve others by meeting their needs.
 

REQUIREMENTS FOR BECOMING A RELEVANT KINGDOM SERVANT:

Be in the spirit. Because God is a spirit.
John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

You cannot hear God when you are carnal (In fresh)
Revelation 1:10 -  I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice…

You must disconnect yourself from the fresh to please God
Romans 8:8 - So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

HOW DO YOU DEVELOP YOUR SPIRIT
1.Study the word of God
  IITimothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2. Spend Time in Prayers
Luke 18:1 - And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Areas of service

1.     At home
A woman’s Kingdom service starts at home.
Ephesians 5:22 - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord

Proverbs 31:27 -  She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Titus 2:4 - 5
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

2.     In the Church
God is looking for labourers not masters!
There is only one position of a master in the kingdom of God and Jesus has occupied it
Matthew 20:1 - For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard
