TOPIC – Engaging Violent Faith To Receive The Blessings Of Abraham

Through out this Month, we have been exploring the application of Violent Faith.
Matthew 11:12 -
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.  (KJV)

 12 And from the days of John the Baptist till now, the kingdom of heaven is forcing its way in, and men of force take it. (BBE) (….men of violence take it by force. (RSV))

We have perfect examples From The Root of Our Faith.
Isaiah 51:2 - Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

1. Our Faith As Christians Is Rooted In The Faith That Abraham Had
2. Faith is Personal – Abraham was called alone.
3. Abraham’s faith was brought him BLESSINGS and INCREASE

We Are Called To Apply The Same Faith To Access The Same Blessings:
Galatians 3:13 – 14
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

What Are The Blessings Of Abraham

1. Blessings of Fruitfulness – To Be Father of Nations
   Genesis 17:4 -As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
   
   Romans 4:18 – 20
   18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
   19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
   20  He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
2. Blessing  of Being A Blessing
   Genesis 12:1 – 3
   1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
   2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
   3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
3. Blessing of Having Landed properties
   Genesis 13:14 – 15
   14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
   15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
   
   As a Church, God is giving us our own Land Soon:
   2 Samuel 7:10
   Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,
4. Blessings Of Being A Friend Of God
   James 2:23 - And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
   
   Jesus Called His Disciples Friends:
   John 15:14 – 15
   14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
   15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

This Week: The Week Of Possessing The Blessings Of Abraham
