Beloved brethren, today, one of my esteemed mentors made me understand that DECAPOLIS means 10 cities.
In Mark chapter five, we encounter the story of a man who was possessed by a Legion of demons for many years and Jesus healed him instantly.
Just moments before, he was bound by chains, living a tormented life, in a grave yard.
Jesus healed him, freed him and given him a new lease on life.
He couldn't keep this incredible news to himself.
Mark 5:20 KJV says:
"And he departed,
and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him:
and all men did marvel"
He spread it throughout Decapolis. Ten cities around him.
He didn't use carefully crafted sermons or a theological debates.
He just poured out his gratitude for what Jesus had done for him.
People were amazed.
They marveled at the tangible transformation in his life.
That is the power of sharing the gospel, using our own testimonies.
Your testimony, big or small, can amaze and transform people in your "DECAPOLIS".
In 10 cities.
Let us take inspiration from this healed man and publish our own testimonies of God's goodness in our "DECAPOLIS".
