Stolen Waters

THE LURE OF STOLEN WATERS.

Proverbs 9:17-18 NIV
“Stolen water is sweet;
food eaten in secret is delicious!”
But little do they know that the dead are there,
that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.

My dear son, heed this warning with care,
For the "stolen waters" hold perils to beware.

Though tempting and sweet, they may taste so divine,
The price you must pay, all the gold of Solomon can't pay.

Stolen pleasures may seem so alluring,
But the price you must pay, is beyond enduring.

Turn away, my son, from this dangerous snare,
Embrace what is pure, let wisdom be your care.

Stolen waters though sweet, hold a bitter surprise,
That will cost you far more than you'd ever afford.

Secret food though delicious, the price tag is too high for the wise.
Grilled and eaten in the cover of darkness, only fools call it a thrill.

Be wise my son, drill for your own drink.
Grill your own food, for a real thrill without threat.
