CLOCK AND THE COMPASS: SPEED AND DIRECTION.

THE CLOCK AND THE COMPASS: SPEED AND DIRECTION.

Speed without direction can be labour in futility.

A young traveler once set out on a long journey through a vast wilderness.

Before leaving, his grandfather gave him two gifts: a beautiful clock and a reliable but old compass.

The young man admired the clock.
It was shiny, expensive, and always accurate.

He checked it every few minutes and proudly showed it to everyone he met.

One day, he reached a crossroad on the way.

Unsure which path to take, he looked at his clock.

"It's exactly 10:15 a.m.," he said.

But the clock could not tell him which direction to go.

Confused, he wandered for hours, taking wrong turns and becoming lost.

As evening approached, he remembered the old compass tucked away in his bag.

He pulled it out and watched the needle point north.

Using the compass, he found the correct path and safely reached his destination.

That night he learned an important lesson:

"The clock was useful because it told him the right time.
The compass was useful because it showed him the right direction".

Many people in life are busy like a clock—always moving, always active, always occupied.

Yet activity without direction leads nowhere.

It is not enough to be busy; we must be moving in the right direction.

A life guided by wisdom is better than a life filled with endless activity.

Success is not measured only by how fast you move: but by whether you are moving in the right direction.

A few steps on the right path are worth more than miles on the wrong road.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
