Keep Your Secrets Secret

Keep Your Secrets Secret:

Dear brethren, today, I invite you to reflect on a piece of wisdom from a wise man who said:

"If everybody knows where you are going: you will never reach your destination."

This saying reminds us of the value of discretion, and the importance of safeguarding the dreams and plans God has placed in our hearts.

In a world where sharing our every move on social media seems a common practice, we must discern to know when to speak and when to remain silent.

Proverbs 21:23 (KJV) says:

“Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.”

This verse underscores the importance of guarding our speech as a way of protecting our innermost being.

Think about Joseph, loved by his father Jacob, who in his youthful excitement shared his dreams with his brothers.

These dreams fueled their jealousy, leading to Joseph's many challenges thereafter.

Though God had a plan for Joseph. A plan of leadership and redemption. Joseph's journey was made harder by the premature revelation of God’s vision for him.

Please know that not everyone will understand or support the path God has set for you. In fact, some may actively work against it.

That is why, discretion is a vital requirement, in fulfilment of our God ordained destinies.

In this day and age, it is easy to feel pressure to share every detail of our lives, on social media or in casual conversations.

Please remember: your journey is unique and sacred.

Not every blessing or vision needs to be for public knowledge.

Some plans are meant to be treasured in our hearts, shared only with very few close confidants.

Jesus advised us in Matthew 10:17 KJV:

"be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves"

Commit to being a wise steward of the dreams God has given you.

Trust in God's guidance and timings, knowing that He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it.

Keep your visions alive, and protect them with the armor of discretion.

Kindly remember this:

"If everybody knows where you are going: you will never reach your destination."
