Godliness: The Covenant Gateway To Greatness – Part II

Our Prophetic Focus this Month is Godliness Engenders Greatness – Isaiah 35:7 – 10.

7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
 8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
 9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
 10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Therefore our teachings this month will be on Godliness anchored on the pillar of consecration.

As we teach, expect the the Spirit of Consecration to enter unto you!
Ezekiel 2:2 - And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

What is godliness

1.     God’s nature

2.     God’s likeness

3.     God’s holiness

4.     It is a description of God.

Leviticus 11:45
44 For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

 45 For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

From The Beginning, God Created Man With His Nature:
Genesis 1:27 -  27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And from the beginning God empowered man for greatness:
Genesis 1:28 - And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion...

Unfortunately, man fell into sin and therefore fell from his greatness.
Genesis 3:23 - Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

1. Sin will get you OUT OF YOUR EDEN
2. When you sin, something is TAKEN AWAY from you.
3. Anyone who PLAY with sin PAYS at the end
4. Sin is DECEPTIVE, never assume you can sin and go free
5. Sin attracts PUNISHMENTS
6. When you TOY WITH SIN, you become a TOY IN THE HANDS OF SATAN
7. When you sin, you are buying death.
   Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death;
8. Sin is a “REDUCER”. It reduces goodness. It shortens life.
   Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

What Are The Benefits Of Godliness?

One major benefit of godliness is greatness – See some proofs below

1. Jesus Came With Greatness And Left Us To Be Great
   Luke 1:30 – 32
   30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
   31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
   32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
2. Job Was Great Because Of His Integrity.
   Job 1:8
   8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?  (KJV)
3. The Seed Of The Righteous Shall Be Great.
   Psalms 112:1 – 3
   1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
   2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
   3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
