Thanksgiving: The Secret To Greatness

1. There Is Hidden Power In Thanksgiving
   Psalms 92:1, 4, 6, and 10
   1 - It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:.
   4 - For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
   6 - A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
   10 - But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.:
   
   
2. Thanksgiving Can Be Done In Public By Raising A Voice Of Thanksgiving.
   Psalms 26:7 - That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works (KJV) – (Another Translation says) That I may give out the voice of praise, and make public all the wonders which you have done. (BBE)

3. Thanksgiving Can Be Done By A Sacrifice
   Psalms 107:22 - And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing

Why We Thank God

1.     Thanksgiving Is Doing To God, What He Cannot Do For Himself, Which Then Provoke Him To Do For You What You Cannot Do For Yourself.
I John 3:22 - And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

2. Thanksgiving Is Recognizing The Hand Of God In Your Life
   Psalms 103: 1 – 5
   1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
   2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
   3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
   4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
   5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Why We Thank Men

Thank God for the Gift Of Men that God has used to brings us where we are now.
I Thessalonians 1:2- 3
2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, ……

Dangers Of Ingratitude

1.     Ingratitude Creates A Suitable Environment For Complaints And Murmuring To Thrive.
- An environment to despise what God has done

Numbers 11:1, 5 - 6
1 - And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

5 - We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
6 - But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

Complaining And Murmuring Brings Loathsome Blessings
Numbers 11:18 – 20
18 And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
