When an ordinary man meets the Extra ordinary God, he is turn to an extra
ordinary man.
No one can encounter God and not leave a mark in their generation.
Examples: Abraham,
Jacob, Moses, Elijah, Paul etc.
These people encounter God differently but all of them were transformed
by the Voice of God and they left a mark in their generation.
It takes
an encounter to make you count.
Elijah
Example:
I Kings 19:11 – 12
11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
